32 weeks pregnant – position of placenta?
my placenta is at the front, I’ve been told that its lying where my belly button is. everyone that iv spoke to has said "yes this is fairly normal" but when i saw my midwife a few weeks ago she said that due to me getting pains in my stomach (starting at my belly button working outwards) that i have to watch out for bleeds because i run the risk of my placenta becoming detatched… but the doctor at the hospital told me that that was wrong, and they’re just stretching/ growing pains. (iv been in and out of hospital 6 times with these pains as they got so bad that i was throwing up with the pain)
who should i listen to? the midwife? or the hospital doctor?

The doctor. Having an anteriorly positioned placenta does not place you at risk for bleeds. Bleeds are something more associated with a low-lying placenta, near the cervix, or a previa, where it covers the cervix. It doesn’t hurt to watch out for bleeds because they can happen to anyone (technically) but just from it being anterior isn’t a formal risk factor.
impossible !
