After how many month of failing to get pregnant should i go see my doctor?
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 months now, and both months have failed. After how many months of not getting pregnant should I go see my doctor? My worst fear in life is that I will be unable to have children.. ![]()
My husband is 23 and I am 21, we have a healthy diet, I take Materna every day, maybe i’ll get my husband started on Omega-3. My periods are irregular, and over the last year or so my periods have kept changing, like it was always about every 6 weeks (i could guesstimate the week), then over a year and a half ago it switched to every other month, and now ive been getting it every month since July at different times… i feel like there’s something wrong with me and it will keep me from conceiving..

I have heard by several sources wait at least a year, of TTC before seeking medical help. I would Try using Ovulation Predictor kits, especially if you are having irregular periods. This will give you a better idea of when you ovulate. I have only been trying for 4 months but I know how frustrating it can be to try and have to start all over again the next month. It feels like it has been forever> I know I overstress about it. I have tried to do what ever I can to relax, yoga, and exercise, any hobbies that can take my mind off of it. Just try to enjoy your marriage, and take it day by day, month by month. Good LUCK!
a year.
It took my fiance and I a year and a half to conceive and health professionals say it normally tales this long for healthy couples to conceive. so i would say wait at least that long. Good Luck!
I say keep trying , but try not to get your hopes up too much cause that could put you under alot of stress which lowers your poss. of getting pregnant. I say if in 10 months to a year if you haven’t succeeded talk with a fertility dr to see whats up.

I would say keep trying until you go in for your annual check up and if you are still not able to conceive talk to your OB/GYN at that time. Also your irregular periods shows that you don’t ovulate always normally. Keep tract of exactly how your period goes on a calendar…for yourself and to show your DR later on. You may have to more be more active in trying at different times of the month due to the irregularly.
But I would try to NOT worry about having there be something wrong with you or your husband. The Worry can make things worse. Stress is very powerful. That’s why so many women get pregnant on vacation because they are in a more relaxed state. So, try to enjoy the ride and enjoy the process. Good Luck!
