if you want to get pregnant in the next YEAR, you should not use Depo-Provera®, since it can prevent pregnancy for 6-10 months after the last injection. However, if timing is not an issue and you don&#039;t want to get pregnant for a couple of years, then you can use Depo-Provera® (if it&#039;s right for you) until up to one year before you want to get pregnant.

you need to keep getting it redone every 3months even if it lasts for 6-10 months after the last injection. because it starts to lose its effectiveness(if you still want it as a birthcontrol). it can even take you 18mnths until you get your period back(everyones different). it messes up your period patterns. 

you can be fertile after 4 month from the end of your last shot but it can take up to a year for periods and ovulation to start up again. 

after your period starts up again, id suggest to go on birth control pills to help newly regulate your cycle.

&amp; miscarriages are common. :/
