First time pregnant, looking for answers?
I’ll be 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I’ve been getting this weird discharge that smells kinda like Parmesan cheese for a couple weeks now, my ob gave me a prescription for diflucam cause i was worried it was a yeast infection but i couldn’t get it filled to take it cause I didn’t have any medical insurance at the time. Does anyone know what this might be? Also, I’ve been waiting for 2 weeks to get an internal done to see how much more dilated I am, I was 1cm dilated and they never told me how effaced I was. I had contractions a couple of days ago every couple hours but not enough to be going into labor any ideas when I could go into labor, I’m so excited to meet my baby girl. Any ideas on how to induce labor too and be specific I wanna know what to do and how to do it properly before I go trying anything. Sorry if this seems kinda long haha

First off, go RIGHT now to the clinic and get some over the counter yeast medication. It is safe to take during pregnancy. Trust me, you do NOT want to deliver a baby with a yeast infection, you’re going to be sore enough, not to mention that you can pass it to your baby in the form of "thrush" as white patches in her mouth or yeast in her diaper area. It is easy to treat, but why not just treat yourself now and save yourself the trouble of treating you and baby later. Ok, after your yeast infection is under control, you can try walking and having sex, specifically making sure you orgasm which can help trigger a contraction. Nipple stimulation helps release hormones that trigger labor. But I will mention.. I did ALL of those things 5 times a day until I was a week overdue and DR finally induced me. LoL. Bottom line: Baby will come when she’s ready although the waiting sucks, and treat your infection. Good Luck to you!! Baby will be here soon enough.
We’ll, I would just call your doctor and tell her you cant afford the medicine and if she has anything else you can take.
no one can tell you when you’ll go into labor. You could always ask how many centimeters your dialated next time you go and also ask how effaced you are. I have those braxton hicks contractions all the time right now and there irregular also.
I’m 38 weeks pregnant right now and on last tuesday I was 70% effaced and 3 centimeters dialated.

as long as your discharge isnt potent and really smells bad (parmesan cheese doesnt smell like roses, but isnt that bad….), or followed by cramps or spotting, it might be nothing. but if you have insurance now, talk to the dr. or see if there is a less expensive alternative. there is no telling when you’ll be in labor! honestly, I wouldnt induce, but just wait till your body and the baby are naturaly ready. of course I should talk! when I was 1 day away from 41 weeks, I massaged the tops of my ankles, which according to reflexology, stimulates the uterus area. sorry if tmi, but i had loose bowels which is a sign of labor a few hours later. my boyfriend and I had sex that evening, and I was in labor a few hours later.
First of all you shouldn’t try and induce labor, baby will come out when she is ready. Trust me i will be due in 2 days! i want her out too
But i know that a lot of sex inuduces labor because thats how i had my first child. Have sex ALOT. You usually get a lot of discharge at the end of your pregnancy, its normal, but for it to smell like that you might have a bacteria. You should really, seriously get in contact with your doctor to try and clear that up before you have that baby. It doesnt sound like it would even be a yeast infection because i had one and they dont have an odor. If you dont have medical, usually those types of medicines do not even cost that much, i know walmart has a lot of cheap meds. Contractions are normal, i been having them for the past 2 weeks almost everyday, dont worry everything will work out. good luck!
