How can I get my sim pregnant in the Sims 3?

I have Sims 3 for the PC and I’ve been trying to get my sims pregnant for the longest time but it won’t work. Does anyone have a cheat or something or just some advice that may help me?

You have a lot of good answers there. However I would also like to add that the best possibility for pregnancy is to use "try for baby" as opposed to "woohoo". Also note that still does not ensure pregnancy on the first try. At one point to get a sim pregnant I had to have the couple "try for baby" three times in a row. Just like in real life there isn’t a definite on how many times it will take but persistence works. Also not that if you do get the fertility happiness reward not only will it assist in you becoming pregnant but it also ensures a multiple pregnancy which could become tricky. Upon getting this reward with a family that was having trouble to conceive not only did she get pregnant, she had triplets and then before the babies aged she was pregnant again and had triplets giving me a household at max capacity with 3 babies and 3 toddlers. Kind of hard to handle six sims that can’t really do for themselves and maintain a career, especially when the stupid babysitter won’t stay if you are at home.
Only young adult and adult women can get pregnant, not teenagers or elders. Young adult, adult, and elder men can get those women pregnant. You have to have them relaxing on a two-person bed next to each other, and if their relationship is high enough, you will get the option of "try for baby." I don’t think it ALWAYS works, but it has a pretty high percentage of getting the girl pregnant.
if you haven’t done try for baby then try it if you have then I don’t know if there are baby cheats or not…
You have to have good chemistry with a male sim and it will say try for a baby also in your lifetime happiness points there is an option to buy a fertility somthing that halps increase your chances of getting pregnant.
In The rewards panel there is a reward i believe for 10,000? and if you have enough points you can buy it.. its called fertility treatment…. it also might help to have your sim eat apples(for a boy) and watermelons(for a girl) each one she eats will increase the number of that gender she has! hope this helped!
Conker and Rhiana are both right with one exception. In a recent upgrade, they changed the food thing. Now it doesn’t matter what your sim eats, there is no garentee of boys or girls. : ( If you want multiples (twins or triplets) play the kids station on the radio and make a pregnant sim watch the kids channel on tv.
The same way you get a sim pregnant in TS2
But do you just Woohoo or try to make a baby?
Because your sims won’t get pregnant by just woohoo’ing.

I’ll add one more thing to the great answers you’ve gotten –
You are still limited to 8 sims in a household. If 8 sims are already present, no more babies until someone moves out. An adult female sim who is too close to the age transition to Elder also cannot be pregnant. I think the cut off is 4 days prior to her birthday.
You have to tell both sims to go into a double bed and relax. Then you click on the other one (The one you’re not playing as). There will be a try for baby option. Click it and after a few sim days a baby will be born.
remember only young adults and adults can get pregnant.
it has to be a boy and a girl, and they have to have a really good relationship so when they kiss the other thinks that they are being "irresistable" and stuff. They have to make out quite a few times, other romantic stuff. Make them woohoo a couple of times, and then I make them try for baby about eight times, and they usually get pregnant.
If it still doesn’t work, get loads of lifetime happiness points and buy the Fertility treatment and do it all again.
You have to wait about a day until it says that they’re pregnant; you usually know because the girl is sick or craves food.
If none of it works then I guess you can just adopt a baby by phoning the adoption service.
Man + Women + Love + Bed + Relax and ‘Try For A Baby’
wohoo wont work for pregnancy. Or adopt.
That happend to my sims.
Get the Baby Lifetime reward thing. It enhances the chances of getting pregnant and having twins.
Even if you don’t want twins/triplets its the only way to have kids.
Or adopt a child
