I was having some minor thyroid problems after my daughter was born in Sept…Dr. sent me for Radioactive Iodine Uptake to check the thyroid…everything was fine and I did not receive a "therapy dose" after the exam…we want to start trying again this fall, but I have heard that you have to wait a full year after the uptake to get pregnant…

You can get pregnant anytime. The half life of the Radioactive isotope that they injected you with is very short so it won’t be in your body for long.
You do not have to wait a year. If it was in your body that long you would develope cancer and your hair would fall out, etc. That is just not possible!
Good luck ttc!
