how long does it take to get pregnant after getting off the depo provera shot ?
im not sure when exactly i started getting the depo shot but it was around this time 09 & im not sure of the exact date but i think its was between 3/11/10 to 3/16/10 was the last time i got a depo shot & my next shot was scheduled for 6/15/10 i didn’t go get the shot because me & my boyfriend broke up & we just had unprotected sex 7/16/10 & im scared i might get pregnant
so i was wondering how long after taking the depo shot does the shot still last because the week after i was scheduled to get the shot i got my period & while getting the depo shot i wouldn’t get a period but you know after a period its the brown discharge ( the old blood ) you get after i a period i would get that SO SOMEBODY PLEASE answer this for me !

Firstly, alot of people are struggling to get pregnant after depo. But that does not mean its impossible. I was trying to get pregnant for 14 months after depo and fortunately i found out i was pregnant this month.
if you was worried about getting pregnant after failing to get your next shot, you should have used another method of contraception, please don’t take this ascriticismm as obviously mistakes happen. And the only way you will find out is by taking a pregnancy test.

The shot is different for everybody. You could get pregnant right away or it could take up to 10 months. I recommend getting Plan B, you can take it within 72 hours and you can get it for free from a Planned Parenthood or buy it over the counter at a pharmacy. Your doctor should have discussed this with you before giving you the shot.
