how soon after getting off the depo shot can u get pregnant?

im due for my birth control shot on aug 2 and me and my husband have decided we are ready to start our family so how soon do u think i can get pregnant after getting off the shot soon?? or a few months?

Why do people take depo shot? I rather just stick with condoms. I am 29yrs old and never in my life have I ever take any BC or shot for birth control. I was sexually actively throughout and I use condom. Am Now pregnant with my frat after 3months trying, thank god. My friend was on depo shot and didn’t even get her period back for 2.5yrs. I heard depo is the worse as it can take a year or 2 for everything to come back to normal. Good luck
it doesnt leave ur system that quickly my cousin got her periods back after a year and like you she was trying to conceive, I went 2yrs without periods after coming off the depo… thats only 2 cases i know off but i asked the doc as i was concerned about not having periods and he said it isnt uncommon for it to take even 3 years. ‘d not get your next injection! You probly didnt wanna hear that sorry but good luck.
