When I got pregnant the first time, my hubby and I weren't really trying at all. I got off birth control and less than 2 months later, I was pregnant. Now we hae a 2 year old and it's better than anyone could ever tell you about having a child. Yes...it is life changing and, yeah, the labor and delivery part of it sucks, but it is so worth it. I'm going to be getting my Mirena iud out next week and I gotta tell you, possibly having a second child is really freaking me out. I really don't like being pregnant (all the restrictions, back pain, tiredness, etc.) Also, having two is definately going to be hard work. Plus the new baby thing of sleepless nights and colic aren't appealing to me much, either. But I'm not getting any younger and I know it may be more difficult to get pregnant this time as I am 3 years older and over 30. My advice to you would just do it! lol Have fun with your partner having a lot of sex! Don't necessarity try. Just live your life and see what happens. I believe you will have a child when your meant to. Honestly, when the time comes and you have your child in your arms, all those fears you had about having your first baby will seem silly and you will have no regrets! lol…I totally understand where your coming from.
