Mothers or first time pregnant ladies, please read.?
Hi all,
This may seem like a stupid question but i am 10 weeks pregnant with my first, and i keep stressing about miscarriage. Its not like i have any reason to stress though im early 20’s healthy, etc. Ive never had miscarriage or problems before.I think its just because its my first that im worried. I am just stressing until i get to the 10 week mark. I have had terrible morning sickness, my hcg raises as suspected, i had a scan at 6 weeks and there was a heartbeat and everything was fine, but im just worried at my next 12 week scan that something will be wrong. But when i actually think about it i kind of know everything is fine. Is this normal, did anyone else feel this??
and i know its not good to stress, i am not really stressing its just a thought in the back of my mind.
Thankyou ladies, I felt a bit silly stressing! but its good to know that im not the only one. ![]()

I definitely think it’s normal!
I’ve never stressed about too much but it is always in the back of my mind. In fact, when I go to the bathroom I still check to see if there’s blood when I wipe…!
I just want to warn you that for me personally (and I don’t know whether it’s the case for everyone), I found it difficult to instantly get excited past the 12 week point, because it still didn’t feel different…I knew intellectually that the risk had decreased dramatically, but my body couldn’t feel the difference.
So I just wanted to let you know the worrying probably won’t disappear overnight, or at all. I think it’s just part of becoming a mother!
Congratulations, and so exciting!
I stressed and worried so much with my first! It sounds like everything is going really well with you. Did you know that once they see the heartbeat, the likelihood of a miscarriage is actually quite low? The fact that your hcg levels are rising is a great sign! You’re all good!
Hey hon. Its totally normal to stress and worry. Its a mother’s job to worry. but you need to try to relax. Every thing will be ok. The fact that you made it to the 10 week mark is something to celebrate. Your chance of having a miscarriage is very low. Try not to worry. Every thing will be just fine. just have faith.
good luck. and congrats!
Very normal. I’m 39 weeks now and still worry! I worry for my friend’s little one too.
good luck and Hope the morning sickness eases off soon! Hugs x
It’s your motherly instinct coming out and is a good sign because you have a lot of caring in you
hit is normal to feel this way if it is your first or fifth pregnancy (I have had two and two healthy babies). During the second trimester (13 weeks) is when the risk of a miscarriage drops significantly and that is when I didn’t worry anymore.
Take a deep breath….let it out. What you are feeling is normal. I have had 5 kids and I was scared every single time. I worried til 12wks big time. Then the worry was a little less but there. Once you see the HB the chance of m/c drops. Then when you hear it it drops even more. For my last 2 kids I went and got a home Doppler thing so I could ease my fears. Well the stupid thing did not work right.lol. I could hear my stomach growl but not the baby.lol. I am sending you my best wishes for a wonderful pregnancy.
