With perfect timing, having sex prior to and during ovulation, each average and healthy couple has about a 25% chance of conceiving each cycle. Things have to be just right for implantation to happen. Best sex positions that deposit sperm closest to the cervix are doggy style and missionary. If possible, don’t get up straight away after he’s done. You can lay still for a bit or elevate your hips to give his boys a head start. If you are prone to uti’s/bladder infections, it is best to get up and use the bathroom to avoid infection.

EDIT: Just to add, ovulation itself takes about 15 minutes, so it is important to have sex prior to ovulation, as well as the day of for best chances.

Not completely sure about the stats when you pinpoint the actual ovulation date, but if you have sex throughout the month and you ovulate your chance each month is 20%, or a 1 in 5 chance.
